  • Under 11s is a competitive format
  • New this season is the Girls football section
  • Open to clubs who are affiliated to an area association.
  • Entry is on a first come basis on receipt of application complete with affiliation number and payment.
  • Games are to be played under Gwent County FA and FAW regulations.
  • Players, coaches and spectators are expected to comply with the FAW codes of conduct.
  • Hot and cold drinks, barbecue and various stalls
  • Football shoot out and raffle
  • There will be a small charge for Onsite parking, but includes  a programme
  • A photographer is present and children will be likely to be photographed.Parents have the opportunity to buy their child’s and team’s photos.
  • Health and Safety:  No dogs or private barbecues allowed on school playing fields

They have voted not to accept any applications to run junior festivals in Gwent during June and July, including applications to attend festivals outside of Gwent.

We are opposed to the Gwent County FA ban on Junior festivals in June and July.

  • Young players look forward to these festivals. It is something they really enjoy!
  • It exposes young players to a significant football community spirit, where they can play against teams from other leagues and counties
  • It helps to keep the older players interested in football

The ban will impact club funding – such festivals generate money for new kit, new training equipment, maintenance of pitches/changing rooms.

The ban will result in a the lose of interest of players, parents and coaches alike. We need to oppose any changes which will result in the potential  loss of volunteers, coaches, young players and teams to association football.

Festivals are not mandatory, there are no fines or loss of points for not attending, Parents are in the best position to determine whether  sons and daughters need rest. After all it is recommended that children participate in a healthy activity every day.
