Girls Football News for September 2015

  • Football fun day – Saturday 26th September  2015 at Caldicot Leisure Centre Astro. Please be there for about 8:45am – games kick-off at 9:00am. There will be various matches with Caldicot and with Chepstow Town.

Girls Football Information

  • We are not a league based team, so the emphasis is on enjoyment, teamwork and learning skills with friendly matches against local teams. In the long team we would like to enter a team into a league.
  • If you are keen or think you are good at football, want to develop more skills and have fun, then contact us, or just come on down to training and try us out.
    • Coaches – Martin Sutherland and Laura Whitelegg
    • Girls football training is at to St Arvans Village Hall Playing Fields, Saturday mornings at 9:30am
    • Please park behind the village hall

  • Sept 2013: Good luck to three Garden City girls who have recently joined Mardy Tigers to play Under 14s football in the South Wales Girls league
  • Sept 2012: Two Garden City girls have been selected for the centre of excellence at Bristol Academy Womens FC, a fantastic development pathway for the girls. We wish them all the success!!
  • The Garden City girls team had a great day out at the Stoke Gifford Stadium, where they were mascots for Bristol Academy Womens FC at the Women’s Super League game against Everton Ladies.
  • May 2012: Garden City annual football festival: Garden City girls football squad had a fantastic time playing against Mardy Tigers, Llanyrafon Girls, Barry Girls, Valleys United Girls and Ross Girls.
