Volunteering

Your club needs you!

August 1, 2010 in Volunteering

Junior/youth Football wouldn’t happen if parents and other people didn’t give up their time to organise training and games for children. Many hands make light work and helps everyone, so any help will be gratefully appreciated.

Volunteering doesn’t neccessarily mean being the coach. People have different strengths and their time can be used in different ways: -

Volunteer Roles

  • Team administration, taking attendance register
  • Helping to put up goals and mark out the pitch
  • Organising kit and equipment
  • First aider
  • Refereeing.
  • Coaching.
  • Organising transport.
  • Fundraising
  • Help obtain grants
  • Organising teas, coffees, soft drinks
  • Making arrangements for coach education courses.

Benefits include

  • The feel good factor and being part of the team / community
  • Providing opportunities for children to participate in football.
  • Opportunities to socialise, make friends

All volunteers with access to children need to participate in the FAW CRB programme. If you would like to volunteer please contact a committee member, or click reply below and send a message.
