  • On making payment and completion of the club registration form the player becomes a playing member of the club and the parent a parent member.
  • Players, parents and coaches are required to abide by the FAW code of conduct.
  • The player is  covered by the club’s personal accident insurance.
  • The parent is entitled to a vote at the club’s AGM.

Membership can be withdrawn or suspended if the player breaches the club’s code of conduct.

Fees

Fees are set at the Annual General Meeting for the forthcoming season.

  • Players subscriptions are collected in August/September each year as a one-off payment for the whole season. Cheques are payable to Garden City JFC.
  • Team Managers MUST collect ALL player subscriptions and hand these to the treasurer by October.
  • Garden City offers a reduced payment (approximately 50%) for brothers & sisters within the club with the oldest sibling paying the full price. A discount is also available in exceptional circumstances (e.g. unemployment or full time training/education).
  • In the event of a player joining during the season the team manager will reduce the amount of subscription due based on the % of the season remaining.
  • For new players a period of grace is permitted. If the player decides to stay with the club then subscriptions are due and must be paid.
  • Garden City does not provide refunds if a player withdraws from the team squad during the season

Future Football Rule Changes

Football authorities are discussing whether to change the U12s format to 9-a-side games on a 3/4 size pitch using 3/4 size goals. Garden City sees this as a positive move which will aid the development of players.
