Where we train and play

The club uses a number of grounds in and around Chepstow for training and home games. To check which teams use which grounds please look at the team pages. Directions to the grounds are as follows: -

Garden City Playing Fields – Hardwick Pavilion

Follow the A48 into Chepstow town centre, turning right at the port wall into Garden City Way. Follow the road round into Hardwick Avenue. The pitch is situated at the bottom of the road. There is parking along Hardwick Avenue and in the surrounding streets. Changing room facilities available.  Map

St Arvans Village Hall

From Chepstow follow the A466 towards Tintern, past Chepstow Racecourse and into St Arvans. Follow the main road round and on the right there is the village hall with the football pitch beside it. There are parking and youth changing facilities here. Please park only at the rear of the hall.  Map

Mathern Athletic FC

At the High Beech roundabout in Chepstow (A466/A48) take the A48 towards Caerwent. At the bottom of the hill, turn left just before the petrol station (signposted Mathern). Follow this road into the village and turn left just before the Miller’s Arms. The pitch is situated at Mathern AFC. There is parking and changing rooms at the ground. Map

Chepstow School and Leisure Centre

Take A466 to the racecourse roundabout with B4293. Follow signs to Chepstow Town Centre. Turn Left after the zebra crossing, then turn left into Chepstow School car park. Map

Tutshill Recreation Grounds

Follow the A48 through Chepstow past Tesco’s and over the bridge towards Gloucester. Take the first right towards Sedbury. At the next roundabout take the third turn off. Follow the road till you enter Tutshill. At the double mini roundabout cross over and travel towards Coleford. Tutshill playing fields are now on your left. Carry on towards Coleford for approx 500 yards, parking is in the Memorial Hall car park near the Live & Let Live Pub.

Wyedean School

Follow the A48 through Chepstow past Tesco’s and over the bridge towards Gloucester. Take the first right towards Sedbury. At the first roundabout turn left towards and Wydean School is immediately on the left. There is plenty of parking in the Sports Centre and the pitch is behind the tennis courts accessed through the hedge. Map

Join our teams

GIRLS FOOTBALL -Come and join our squad of girls! Girls football training is held on Saturday mornings 10.30am at Garden City playing fields, Hardwick Avenue, Chepstow. Please view our girls football page for more information.

BEGINNERS - UNDER 6s - Training sessions for under 6s takes place on Saturday mornings between 9.30-10.30 at Garden City playing fields. Boys and Girls welcome. Please view our under 6s page for more information.

Future Football Rule Changes

Football authorities are discussing whether to change the U12s format to 9-a-side games on a 3/4 size pitch using 3/4 size goals. Garden City sees this as a positive move which will aid the development of players.
